Ingles family anecdote
On Christmas Eve last year, the author's family was celebrating at their cousin's house with gifts, food, dancing and music. When the author's uncle went to the bathroom, he heard a voice on the radio say "I enjoy family, with Merry Christmas." No one was outside, and the voice was not heard again when the song played. It is believed the voice belonged to the author's deceased grandfather, wanting to send a message to the family on their first Christmas without him to remind them to stay together. The unusual event brought the family closer together.
Olin Clark
Olin Clark passed away on October 18, 2011 at the age of 86. A funeral service was held on October 26th at Brown Chapel AME Church, where Clark had been a longtime member. Clark was born in Newberry, SC and served in the Navy during WWII before working for the Hendersonville Gas Company and singing with gospel groups. He is survived by his wife, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts and other relatives. The family acknowledges those who provided support during their time of grief.

The congregation had a great church service this evening with a good crowd where they praised God with their whole hearts. The worship from Connie, Phyllis, Ronnie, Jared, Susan, and Justin was both beautiful and inspiring, though Adam on bass and Amy on drums are not seen in the picture. It has been a joy to have Justin home on leave for a couple weeks, and Adam is picking bass for Word of Fire. David preached the Word, and all are welcome to come worship with them.

It is unknown how blood in the human embryo circulates for the first 21 days in the absence of a functioning heart. The human heart begins beating at a rate near the mother’s, about 75-80 beats per minute (BPM).

Scientists have attempted to simulate the formation of a galaxy like the Milky Way through computer modeling, but have faced challenges. Their simulations have included interactions between dark matter and gas and the highest physics resolutions, but still resulted in galaxies with larger central bulges compared to disc sizes, unlike the Milky Way. The formation of the Milky Way and Earth through gravitational forces over billions of years is too complex to fully recreate in a short simulation. Specifically, accurately modeling supernovae explosions and how they add material to the central bulge has proved difficult. While technology allows hypothesizing how galaxies form, fully simulating the Milky Way's formation within a day is not realistic given the long natural time scale involved.
