Building Your Online Presence :
Establishing your website
Its advisable to obtain a website for your Hair Extensions Services. The website may be just a 1 paged static site to begin with
as a representation for your business and outlining the different methods you offer which includes your prices, your location
and contact details.
Tips and Tricks to market your website
Its all very well having a website, however, if you do not shout about it then no one will see it. The fastest way to be seen and
obtain a good positioning is by GOOGLE ADWORDS. Running Google Ads should be for a minimum of 6 weeks for good
exposure. As you can imagine this works out very expensive.
The next effective way for exposure is social media. There are 3 main platforms being Instagram (showcase your work),
Facebook (launch new products) and Twitter (short announcements), LinkedIn (corporate). Instagram is best used for Hair
Extensions Services as posting pics of finished installs are most effective here. Mention your website at every opportunity
in a story you post.

The main way to do this is by always doing a good install. Word of mouth is the good old fashion way in building and
keeping a good client base. Clients will then recommend you to their friends. If you are a complete beginner with zero
clients, offer a big discount for your first few clients. Take lots of pictures of your install and post onto your socials. Offer
monthly competitions. Most importantly, post onto your socials daily. Be sure to include snippets about your services and
consistently post regularly.

Posting once or twice a month not recommended. Posting daily is very effective. Offering your available dates for
bookings also helps as it gives potential students more options to choose and this pushes potential clients to progress to

LinkedIn, YouTube, QR codes, gamification, and proximity marketing.
All of these options have resulted in fragmented new-age marketing. Some characteristics of fragmented new-age
marketing are as follows:
This new marketing suits small brands with much smaller budgets targeted directly to customers in a global
marketplace. Thus, it enables small companies and start ups with smaller budgets to achieve a global reach.
New-age marketing is data-driven and more centred on driving specific calls to action. Also, new-age marketing is about
engagement, unlike mass media marketing, which involves interruption.

Do’s of buying and wearing hair extensions?
Do consider why your client is considering having hair extensions. Hair Extensions are not just for adding length or
volume. Wear them to experiment with different styles.
Consider your lifestyle: Generally there are three different types of hair extensions,”
1. “The entry level is clip-ins.” Those are most popular with beginners since they’re so user-friendly.
2. The second option is tape extensions. The third choice is keratin. If you do a lot of hot yoga, the tape is not a
good option—the keratin is a better. If you want to change your colour often, opt for the tape because the
keratin is in there a long time.
Don’ts of buying and wearing hair extensions?
1. Don’t incorrectly colour match. Get the right colour match. Being off even by a shade is a dead giveaway
that you’re wearing extensions. The most accurate way is to colour match with the ends of your locks, not the
roots, and go with the colour that’s the most prominent in your natural hair.
2. Non-virgin hair means it’s been processed—either dyed or treated to change its texture—so it’s also not ideal,
since it’s more damaged.
3. Remy extensions are the highest quality. They’re the closest to your real hair, so they’ll hold styles and texture
the same way and won’t shed as much as the cheaper options.
Do’s and Don’ts of buying and wearing hair extensions?
1. Extensions does not damage hair if applied correctly:
When people say extensions damage your hair, that’s because they were not professionally removed.
2. Maintenance:
You must ensure client maintains their hair extensions within the time frames specified, by ensuring they sign the
maintenance agreement at the end of their install this covers your back as well as theirs.
3. Weight:
Another way to avoid damage is making sure they’re not too heavy. You must be careful about this because if it weighs
down your client’s hair too much, eventually their hair will shed. Nothing will stop that, and eventually it will be too much
for their hair and it will break.
4. Fall outs:
Extensions should never fall out, and they shouldn’t cause pain either. Your client shouldn’t be able to feel them at all.

The website may be just a 1 paged static site to begin with as a representation for your business and outlining the different methods you offer which includes your prices, your location and contact details. Tips and Tricks to market your website Its all very well having a website, however, if you do not shout about it then no one will see it.
