Dario Carotenuto presented on his experience developing a GWT app called UNIREX LEAN TOOLS. The app was created to address the need for an easy to use tool for collaboratively editing business model canvases in real time without downloads or costs. GWT was chosen as it allows for browser independence and integration with JavaScript. The key features of the app include making canvas editing super easy using GWT-DND, allowing for fast sharing of canvases via URL copying, and enabling simultaneous editing using PouchDB and CouchDB for synchronization. The app also supports multiple canvas types via an abstraction layer.
