This document contains different types of diffusion processes that can be illustrated: relocation diffusion occurs when people move from one location to another; expansion diffusion happens as people spread out from a central place; hierarchical diffusion is the spread of innovations from more developed to less developed areas; contagious diffusion spreads similarly to a disease through contact; and stimulus diffusion arises in response to certain events or influences. It also lists culture and economy as areas where diffusion processes apply.
