Equity funds invest in stocks of companies with the primary objective of long-term capital appreciation. There are different types of equity funds based on their investment style and the types of stocks they invest in. Value funds focus on stocks that are currently undervalued but have strong fundamentals. Growth funds invest in fast growing companies in rapidly expanding industries. Blend funds combine both value and growth styles, investing in a mix of undervalued and fast growing stocks.

The Mutual Fund Concept

Questions of which stock or bond to select, how best to build a diversified portfolio, and how to manage the costs of building a portfolio have challenged investors for as long as there have been organized securities markets. These concerns lie at the very heart of the mutual fund concept and in large part explain the growth that mutual funds have experienced. Many investors lack the know-how, time, or commitment to manage their own portfolios. Furthermore, many investors do not have sufficient funds to create a well-diversified portfolio, so instead they turn to professional money managers and allow them to decide which securities to buy and sell. More often than not, when investors look for professional help, they look to mutual funds.
Basically, a mutual fund (also called an investment company) is a type of financial services organization that receives money from a group of investors and then uses those funds to purchase a portfolio of securities. When investors send money to a mutual fund, they receive shares in the fund and become part owners of a portfolio of securities. That is, the investment company builds and manages a portfolio of securities and sells ownership interests—shares—in that portfolio through a vehicle known as a mutual fund.

Portfolio management deals with both asset allocation and security selection decisions. By investing in mutual funds, investors delegate some, if not all, of the security selection decisions to professional money managers. As a result, investors can concentrate on key asset allocation decisions—which, of course, play a vital role in determining long-term portfolio returns. Indeed, it’s for this reason that many investors consider mutual funds the ultimate asset allocation vehicle. All that investors have to do is decide in which fund they want to invest—and then let the professional money managers at the mutual funds do the rest.
An Overview of Mutual Funds
Mutual funds have been a part of the investment landscape in the United States for 91 years. The first one started in Boston in 1924 and is still in business. By 1940 the number of mutual funds had grown to 68, and by 2015 there were more than 9,300 of them. To put that number in perspective, there are more mutual funds in existence today than there are stocks listed on all the major U.S. stock exchanges combined. As the number of fund offerings has increased, so have the assets managed by these funds, rising from about $135 billion in 1980 to $15.8 trillion by the end of 2014. Compared to less than 6% in 1980, 43% of U.S. households (90 million people) owned mutual funds in 2014. The mutual fund industry has grown so much, in fact, that it is now the largest financial intermediary in this country—even ahead of banks.
Mutual funds are big business in the United States and, indeed, all.

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions

At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.

Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.

Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.

Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

1. Types of Mutual Funds - Equity Funds
This is an era of knowledge driven investment. There is a wide range of equity funds (EF) /stock funds (SF)
that are available for investment. There are 10000+ MFs in North America; unless one knows the type and
objective of funds, he/she will not be able to opt for the one apt for her. One must assess his/her purpose
of investment, and find which type of MF will appropriately serve the purpose. Visit us now

What are Equity Funds?
Equity funds invest in stocks of companies. However, all funds neither invest in similar stocks nor invest
in the different stocks in the same proportion. The character of an EF depends on the nature of the stocks
it invests in, and its objectives. The equity funds, predominantly invest in stocks of large and small cap
companies. Some equity funds invest in both large and small cap companies in a predetermined
proportion.
Objective
As the nature of the assets invested in are stocks, it is evident that long term capital appreciation is the
primary objective of these funds.
Risk Profile
Equity funds are characterized by "high risk- high return".
Examples
Fidelity Select Multimedia Portfolio, Rydex Series Trust Consumer Products Fund, Brown Vanguard Equity
Income Fund, Direxion Daily Gold Miners Bear 3x Shares, Global Diversified Investment Grade Income
Trust II, etc.
The selection of stocks for building the fund's portfolio is called investment style. Depending on the
investment style, generally, we find three types of mutual funds.
Now, let us look at the different types of Stock funds available-
Value Investment: These EFs invest in stocks that have strong fundamentals but are currently out of
steam.
Stock selection criteria:
Low P/E ratio
Low Price to book value
High dividend yield ratio.
Examples: Brown Vanguard Equity Income Fund, American Beacon Bridgeway Large Cap Value Fund,
Delaware Pooled Trust Large Cap Value Equity Portfolio
Growth Investment: These funds invest in fast growing companies belonging to rapidly expanding
industries.
2. Stock selection criteria:
High P/E ratio
High sales growth ratio
High price to book value ratio
Huge cash flow
Low dividend yield ratio
Examples: Brown Advisory Flexible Value Fund, Vanguard PrimeCap Core Fund,
Blend Investment: Blend investment style refers to a combination of value and growth investment style,
where neither of the styles predominates the investment strategy. These funds invest in both value and
growth funds in a particular proportion that depends on the fund manager and market conditions.
Stock selection criteria:
Stock selection criteria followed for both value and growth style.
