Hallyu status in Mexico
Hallyu status in Mexico
Mexico - Japan
Mexico has the deepest relationship with
Japan among the Latin American countries.
An Amity and Commerce treaty between
Japan and Mexico was signed since the
Meiji era, and even now Japan suffers of
inequality on this treaty done on equal
terms. Japan holds numerous foreign
embassies on its territory, and due to this
relationship, Mexico established a
specialized office on Central District affairs
in Nagatacho. Numerous Japanese
companies’ presence in Mexico proves a
deep economical relationship too. Also,
Aeromexico joins Japan’s Narita Airport
with the Mexican International Airport. In
the present time, there are no direct flights
connecting South Korea and Mexico. A
scale in USA, Japan or other country is
required.
