How to use Twitter Lists

You can organize other twitter users into groups, or “lists”.
When view a list, you see a stream of Tweets from all the
users included in that list.
Note: you don't need to follow another user to add
them to a list; So... you can read a user's Tweets, without
them knowing (private lists) and not see their messages in
your main timeline every day.
You can follow other people’s public Lists, following someone
else's list does not mean you follow all users in that list.
Rather, you follow the list itself.

Give your List
a name
Choose Public or Private

Twitter Lists
Private lists, no one can see, only you
can see the list. No one can see who
is in the list and when you add
someone to a private list twitter does
NOT tell them
Public lists can be seen by anyone,
anyone can subscribe to the list, list
members can be seen and
subscribers will see the posts from
those list members.
Also, twitter will tell people when
you place them in a public list

visit their twitter profile,
click on the three dots,
and on ‘Add or remove
from list’

Twitter Lists – getting more followers
Create public lists, with flattering names…
‘Great Businesses’
‘Interesting People’
‘People that Inspire me’
VERY selectively add people to these lists. Remember,
KEEP FOCUSED, be very selective, box 1 etc…
Twitter will tell them you have added them to the list
Flattered, people will thank you, some will follow you.
Notice – you haven’t followed them (yet)

Twitter Lists – Growing relationship
Create three private lists…
‘Suspects’
‘Prospects’
‘Clients’
Daily – check Clients. Engage when highly appropriate
Daily – check Prospects. Engage as often as possible
Every 2 Days – Check Suspects. Engage as often as
possible, connect, grow relationship – get off line asap.
Promote people through the lists as the relationship (sales
cycle) develops.
