This document provides recommendations and information about engine valves, including:
- Engine valves must be handled carefully to avoid damage. Proper assembly and regulation are important for good performance.
- Do not mark the valve head, as it can cause misalignment. Recycling valves may not be cost effective.
- Camshaft seats must be machined according to the engine manufacturer's specifications.
- Some valves have a welded pad at the tip which should be welded at least 80% and allow a 0.3mm gap. Do not strike the valve tip to avoid damaging the weld.
