Three Fountains village in Romania is considered one of the most beautiful in the country. It is located in the foothills of the Hasmas mountains between Neamt, Harghita, and Bacau counties. The village has a majority Hungarian population and only received electricity in 2000. The village gets its name from three springs in the area and the traditional mountain architecture maintains a constant average temperature of around 7 degrees Celsius year-round. In the past, villagers were somewhat isolated until utilities arrived 15 years ago, allowing small businesses like hostels and trout farms to operate in the area.
