This document provides travel directions from the Naval Air Facility Atsugi in Japan to Narita International Airport. It outlines options to take the train, bus, or drive. Taking the train is the most direct but requires advance planning as schedules vary. It can take 2-3 hours and cost around 4,600 yen each way. Local trains take longer at around 3 hours but cost less at 2,160 yen. The bus takes similar time but costs more at 3,770 yen and requires a train ride to Yokohama first. Driving takes about 2 hours depending on traffic but has tolls totaling around 3,000 yen. Detailed directions and maps are provided for each travel method.

INFORMATION: Train schedules and costs vary greatly for express trains going to Narita Airport depending on the time
you arrive at the station. The best way is to plan ahead for about 3 hours travel as a rule of thumb. If you just show up at
the station you could be waiting for about 40 minutes or more before the next train leaves.

For Local Train Travel: (Approximately 2 Hours 53 Minutes +/- average using local train travel and depending on the
time you arrive at the station Y2,160 One Way.) Local train travel to Narita Airport below:
- From Main Gate take bus to Sagami-Otsuka Train Station: Walk across the street from the Main Gate, TURN LEFT,
proceed to Bus Stop in front of the Hotel Takashima. Take Bus #52 or #71 to SAGAMI-OTSUKA STATION and start from
there. (Y190) --or-- From Main Gate walk to Sagamino Train Station: Walk for 20-25 minutes from NAF Atsugi Main
Gate, proceed directly across the street, and keep walking straight until you reach the large “T” intersection. (On your left
is the Gorilla Amusement Center.) Cross the street, TURN LEFT, and proceed straight approximately 2 minutes. (The
entrance to the SAGAMINO STATION is on your right side.)
- From SAGAMINO STATION or SAGAMI-OTSUKA STATION on the Sotetsu Line Express to YOKOHAMA STATION.

- Get off at either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 depending on where your flight is departing from.

TRAVEL BY BUS: (Approximately 2 1/2 Hours Y3,770 one way including train ride from Sagamino Station.)

- Take the train to YOKOHAMA STATION as stated above. Walk to the East side of the Train Station at the Yokohama
Sky Building on the 1st Floor and follow the signs to the YCAT.

2. TRAVEL DIRECTIONS
AIRPORT – NARITA INTERNATIONAL

- From the East Gate of NAF Atsugi, proceed on PREFECTURAL ROAD 40 to the intersection of PREFECTURAL ROAD
40 and PREFECTURAL ROAD 45 (Minamidai Intersection).
- TURN LEFT onto PREFECTURAL ROAD 45.
- Proceed straight on PREFECTURAL ROAD 45 until you reach the SHIMOKAWAI INTERCHANGE on the HODOGAYA
BYPASS (ROUTE 16).
- Proceed under the overpass, TURN RIGHT onto the on ramp of the Hodogaya Bypass ROUTE 16.
- MERGE onto HIGHWAY K3 proceed to the KARIBA INTERCHANGE and pay toll. (Y600)
- Stay in the right lane and follow the signs for HIGHWAY B.
- MERGE onto HIGHWAY B and follow to OOI TOLL GATE and pay toll. (Y700)
- Proceed on HIGHWAY B and follow to WANGAN-ICHIKAWA TOLL GATE get toll ticket.
- Proceed on HIGHWAY B, follow on HIGASHI-KANTO EXPRESSWAY to MIYANOKI JUNCTION, and follow signs to
NARITA AIRPORT.
- Proceed to NARITA INTERCHANGE EXIT #10 and pay toll. (Y1,700)
- Follow signs to your Terminal or Parking Area.
