Upon making your way to the beautiful Queenstown railway
station you can check your luggage all the way though to your
destination. Your train departs at 9.15am for a ride through the
incredible Maniototo landscape.
Climb aboard your coach and depart Queenstown, via
Cromwell, Clyde and through to Maniototo. The Maniototo is a
stunning landscape that appears to be straight from a painting
and is unique to this area of the country. Sit back and relax as the
train tootles merrily through this spectacular gorge and soak up
the scenery and history of an incredible part of New Zealand. This
is one of the world' great train trips and one you will remember for
many years to come.

Little Blue Penguin Tiki Tour

Here’s your chance to be taken on a fully guided tour of the Otago
Peninsula with one of our knowledgeable guides. The Little Blue Penguin Tiki
Tour provides you with the opportunity to discover Kororā, the Little Blue
Penguin, the world’s smallest penguin, in their natural habitat – scurrying up
to their cliff-face burrows at Pilots Beach on the Otago Peninsula. After a
day at sea, the penguins congregate in groups known as “rafts” not far
offshore where they often can be heard vocalising – usually short, loud
squawks. At dusk penguins come ashore and make their way to their nests
where they feed their chicks or roost.
Tours do not allow flash photography as this can cause disturbance on the
wildlife, however lighting is provided for the viewing of blue penguins and
modern digital cameras are capable of taking great photographs under
these conditions. Please help us to be respectful of the welfare of the
wildlife. Sightings of the Little Blue Penguins are guaranteed throughout the
year, however low thick sea fog may affect them coming ashore which is
very rare. Penguins can bee seen as close as 1 – 5 metres in front of the
viewing platform.
All tour options are an outdoor activity in a land where maritime weather
prevails, the weather can change very quickly on the Otago Peninsula
year round. Always take warm and waterproof clothes and solid foot wear

Your trip to the Te Anau Glowworm Caves begins with a cruise to the
western shores of Lake Te Anau on one of our purpose-built scenic
cruise vessels. At the entry to the caves at Cavern House, view the
informative displays and learn about this geological wonder before
you join your guide underground. On the tour of the caves, our
friendly guides will point out the highlights and share their knowledge
of the caves and its history. This underground world is astonishingly
beautiful. By geological standards the caves are very young (12,000
years) and are still being carved out by the force of the riverthatflows
through them. The result is a twisting network of limestone passages
filled with sculpted rock, whirlpools and a roaring underground
waterfall. Deep inside the caves, beyond the roar of the water, you
will be taken by small boat into a silent hidden grotto inhabited by

The fly-in, fly-out helihike combines the excitement of walking on the Fox
Glacier with the thrill of helicopter flights. By flying in you are able to
access and explore a part of the glacier where its forces work hardest
and often create spectacular ice caves and arches. Equipped with
leather boots and other equipment, you board the helicopter for your
first flight over the pinnacles of the lower icefall. Here, the ice is in
constant motion. Take in views of the dramatic upper icefall and Victoria
Falls, which is the melt river of the hidden Victoria glacier, before landing.
Your landing site on the ice is a remote and exceptionally beautiful part
of the glacier. At this stage, your guide outfits you with crampons,
specially designed for these ice conditions and you follow the ice steps
cut by your guide as you explore the amazing formations and ice caves
which are only seen here.
Each departure is a true voyage of exploration. There are so many
changing features that the guides always find something new. Weather

Treetop Walk. An exhilarating treetop adventure among temperate

Shanty Town Heritage Park

First train leaves the Shantytown Railway Station at 9:45 am, last train
leaves at 4pm
Located - 10 km South of Greymouth, 40 km North of Hokitika
The township comprises two main streets lined with 30 historic buildings,
including a church, and the two-storey coronation hall. The buildings are
mostly original and transferred or re-built on site and house recreations of
shops from around the late 19th century such as a bank, hotel, butcher,
shoe shop, barber, carpenter, and a blacksmith. Some of the shops sell
goods, such as traditional lollies. The town also contains a hospital, train
station, fire station, a Masonic Lodge, a church, and a jail. A foundry
showcases the craftsmanship, tools and techniques of ironwork via
interactive displays and preserved historic equipment.
Adjacent to the main township, a "Chinatown" area depicts the life and
living environment of Chinese immigrant gold miners who had migrated to
the West Coast in the 1860s from other gold fields in New Zealand as they
ran dry, as well as directly from China. Shantytown also contains a re-
created narrow-gauge bush tram line that follows a 19th-century sawmill
tram track from the Shantytown train station to a stop at the Infants Creek
Sawmill and a terminus 1.5 km from Shantytown for photo opportunities.
Trains run throughout the day and are included in the admission. The train
station is built as a 3/4 replica of original railway plans. Passengers can
disembark at the Infants Creek Sawmill where a sluice gun is fired up to
four times per day and tutored gold panning is available. The vintage
passenger carriages are pulled by either "Gerty", an 1877 L-class steam
engine from Avonside Engine Company in England, rebuilt by NZR Hillside
in Petone and Newmarket in New Zealand, or by an 1896 improved F-class
Kaitangata steam engine.
Other attractions include having an "old time" photo in costume taken, a
holographic theatre show, and a playground. Short bush walks around the
area lead to a surveyors monument and lookout.
Canterbury Region
Akaroa Harbour Nature Cruise

Your modern catamaran, the 60 foot /20 metre Black Cat (previously the
Canterbury Cat), is perfect for viewing the natural wonders of Akaroa
Harbour. The vessel is the largest and most luxurious on the harbour.
There's lots of room on the two decks for unimpeded viewing and plenty
of covered seating, for shade and shelter. Inside there's a bar and toilets.
And the Black Cat is both stable and safe. Each cruise is fully narrated by
your skipper who has extensive knowledge of the nature, wildlife and
history of the harbour.
Your cruise is packed with highlights including the rare, NZ native dolphin -
the Hector's Dolphin, as well as penguins and other sea birds. And you'll
see giant volcanic sea cliffs and hear about Akaroa's fascinating past.
Cruises depart every day, weather permitting. Also on the trip you will
catch glimpses of the White Flippered Blue Penguin, the smallest penguin
in the world. There are many different bird species in the harbour,
including five different cormorant (shag) species and the endangered
yellow-eyed penguin. You'll also see New Zealand Fur Seals sunning

26. General Information & Conditions
Validity
This brochure is valid until 30 June 2017
unless otherwise stated. All information
and details were correct at the time of
printing (June 2016). however Worlds End
Travel reserves the right to amend any
details without notice. Ask your Travel
Agent to confirm details at the time of
booking.
Deposits
$500 per person is required within 10 days
of your holiday confirmation. Some tours/
special accommodation have their own
deposit regulations, which you will be
made aware of at the time of booking.
Failure to pay the deposit may result in
your travel arrangements being
cancelled.
Payments
Full payment is due 30 days prior to
departure, Bookings made within 30 days
of intended travel are to be paid in full
immediately upon confirmation.
Amendments/Fees
Prior to documents being issued the first
time amendment is FREE. All additional
amendments are liable to a maximum
charge of $35 per amendment.
Refunds
•Unused Car Hire – NIL
•Unused Accommodation/Service
vouchers refunded at the sole discretion
of Worlds End Travel. Product and service
providers are unable to authorize any
refund on Worlds End Travel's behalf.
Consumer refunds/claims, must be
lodged in writing within 30 days of the
client’s stay/service date.
Pricing
All prices in this brochure are expressed
in New Zealand dollars, include the New
Zealand Goods & Services Tax and were
correct at the time of printing (June
2016).
Cancellation Penalties
21 Days of more:
$100 per person plus any Airline or
Ground Operator Charges.
7 to 20 Days
$500 per person plus any Airline or
Ground Operator Charges .
6 days or less
100% of the holiday costs at the
discretion
of the individual suppliers and Worlds
End Travel.
Worlds End Travel reserves the right to
amend pricing without notice. Worlds End
Travel also reserves the right to amend
prices if contracted rates with travel industry
suppliers are withdrawn or changed for any
reason. Publishing errors can occur in
pricing and prices will not be considered
valid until invoiced by Worlds End Travel. All
quoted prices will be guaranteed once full
payment is received by Worlds End Travel.
Worlds End Travel also reserves the right to
amend prices and/or product descriptions
if contracted rates with travel industry
suppliers are withdrawn or changed for any
reason.
Supply of Products & Services
Worlds End Travel acts as an agent for the
suppliers of products and services listed
within this brochure. We have no control
over the facilities or services themselves or
the manner in which they are provided by
the Suppliers. We can therefore accept no
liability for any loss or damage which may
arise from your use or consumption of, or
inability to use or consume those facilities or
services. All facilities or services described
by us are subject to availability from the
Supplier. If, of your own choice, you decide
not to use part or parts of the arranged
services or facilities, you will not be entitled
to a refund from us. Please note that this rule
is strictly enforced in the case of unused
days of motor vehicle hire. All facilities or
services described by us are subject to
availability from the Supplier and can
change after this brochure is produced.
Please check with our consultant for
relevant changes when making a
reservation.
Supplier Service Disputes
In the event that you have a problem whilst
traveling, please take up the matter
immediately with the Supplier. We would
not want any unresolved problem to mar
your travel experience, and this provides an
opportunity to have the matter discussed,
investigated and remedied on the spot. If
the problem is not rectified to your
satisfaction by the supplier please advise
Worlds End Travel or your travel agent as
soon as possible so we can work on a
resolution on your behalf. Consumer
refunds / claims must be lodged in writing
within 30 days of travel.
Baggage
All baggage and personal effects, are at all
times, at your own risk. Any excess baggage
charges are the responsibility of the
passenger.
Travel Insurance
Worlds End Travel strongly recommends
that you purchase a comprehensive travel
insurance policy at the time of booking.
Your Travel Agent will be able to advise and
assist you with this. Cancellation fees
charged by Worlds End Travel will not be
waived under any circumstances, where
travel insurance may have covered you.
Liabilities
1. The Trade Practices Act implies a warranty
that the services rendered by Worlds End
Travel will be rendered with due care and
skill and nothing containedinthese
conditionsistobeconstruedas inanyway
excluding,restrictingorlimitingthat warranty
or any other rights implied by law which may
not be excluded, restricted or modified.

companies andtheiremployeesarenot
liablefor:
(a) Any event beyond their control,
including (but not limited to) war,
disturbance, fire, flood, unusuallysevere
weather,actofGod,actof government or
other authorities, accident or failure of
machinery or equipment, or industrial
action (whether or not including ANZCRO
employees): nor
(b) Anyactoromissionwhatsoever(whether
within or outside their control) in relation to
any booking, contract, travel,
accommodation, excursion or other
holiday services (including the carriageof
baggage)whichresultsinanydirect, indirect
or consequential loss, damage, death,
injury, delay, liability, additional expenses or
inconvenience.
(c) Worlds EndTravel doesnot own or
operateany tour product or service listed in
this brochure. Worlds End Travel isatour
wholesalerwhoarrangesthe provision of
the products & services listed. Worlds End
Travel does not take responsibility for the
omission or failureofindividualproperties,
