The two-day trekking route to Jebel Toubkal (4,167m), North Africa's highest peak, involves hiking from Imlil village through Berber villages to the mountain refuge on day one, and an early morning ascent on day two to reach the summit before descending back to Imlil. Trekkers are accompanied by local guides and muleteers to carry luggage, with overnight accommodation in the mountain refuge or camping tents. The physically demanding trek can be done between March and November and costs approximately 160 euros per person, including transport, guides, meals, and refuge accommodation. Additional personal gear and items are not covered.
