Technical report project for MEC E 200 during my spring-summer term 2012. First tech. paper I have written.
Primarily focused on the design and development of a new aircraft engine nozzle for quiet supersonic flight.
Advanced production
The trailer uses various film techniques to establish tension and introduce the characters. It begins with an aerial establishing shot of a burning city before cutting to dialogue between characters. Slow motion shots highlight danger and action. Close ups are used to show the characters' facial expressions and injuries. Dialogue and shots of destruction establish the threat and tone of violence. Rotating shots bring the characters together to set up an impending battle. Throughout, the editing, sound, and camera work build tension and anticipation for the action-packed superhero film.

2 - FEM - Assn 3 - Writeup
This document summarizes a finite element analysis (FEA) of a pressure vessel conducted using ANSYS. The analysis involved creating an ANSYS model of a flat-headed pressure vessel, applying loads from internal pressure and gravity, analyzing the results, and modifying the vessel head design to a semicircular shape to compare stresses and displacements. The FEA found high stresses and displacements in the flat-headed design exceeding yield strength, while the semicircular head design produced more reasonable stresses and displacements under yield.

- Reflection is when light bounces off a surface at the same angle it hits the surface. White light is made of all the colors of the rainbow, which can be separated and recombined.
- Refraction occurs when light changes speed in different mediums like air and water, causing bending of light rays. The color something appears depends on the colors of light it reflects.

The diagram shows a ray of light traveling from air into water at the tip of the chopstick. Due to the change in refractive index, the light ray bends towards the normal as it enters the water. This makes the tip of the chopstick appear higher and causes the illusion that the chopstick is bent.
