– The traditional paper is limping along and many people still read
it, but the local business community sometimes mail out a flyer of
local businesses in the area. Find out how to get your ad in that
flyer. People will talk and more and more people will know what you
do.
2. The Book of the week – Purple Cow by Seth Godin – This is a
brilliant book about standing out – If you saw a fields full of black
and white cows as you drive for hours down the highway, none of
them would catch your eye. If you saw a purple cow, you would
probably pull over to check it out closer. Same thing with your
business. Try to be the purple cow and stand out from the crowd.
This book is all about how to do that in a busy marketplace.
