This document provides instructions for a science project on mapping travel between cities in Spain. Students are asked to choose 4 cities to visit, calculate distances between them, and plan hypothetical modes of transportation to get between each city. They then add details to the map like main roads, train stations, airports, physical landforms passed through, and a place to visit in each city. Resources for finding city names and images of Spanish mountains are also provided.

2. SCIENCE PROYECT UNIT 9: THE RELIEF
1 Choose a map of SPAIN on the internet . Write
down the scale in cm and translate It to km . You
ca use the one in your classroom.
2.Choose 4 cities you would like to visit ,mark
them on the map.
3.Calculate the distance between the cities in Km:

From Madrid to Asturias there are 400 Km. I will travel by car
From Madrid to Galicia there are 500 Km. I´ll travel by train.
From Cadiz to Barcelona there are 950 Km. I will travel by plane.
From Santander to Valencia there are 520 km . I´ll travel by car .

airports you will travel by.
• To Asturias I will take the road “ La Coruña” A-6
• To Galicia I will take the station of Zamora
• To Barcelona I will take the airport of Cadiz .
• To Valencia I will take first the road A-2 and then in Cuenca I will take the road A-3
• 6.Add the name of the physical reliefs you will
pass by ,and a place to visit on each city.
• To Asturias I will pass the puerto of Pajares . I will visit Gijon.
• To Galicia I will pass the macizo galaico. I will visit Santiago de Compostela .
• I will visit the Sagrada Familia .
• To Valencia I will pass the Ebro river. I will visit Cheste ( motorbikes)
