Boniface Mwangi is an award-winning Kenyan photojournalist who documented the post-election violence in Kenya through thousands of photos, despite facing great personal risk. His coverage showed the plight of ordinary Kenyans caught up in the violence and won him international acclaim, including being named CNN Africa Photojournalist of the Year multiple times. Currently, he directs Picha Mtaani, a UN-funded project that uses photography and debate to promote reconciliation.
