The mountain chickadee has white eyebrows and gray legs that help it camouflage. It eats seeds and insects, getting food from feeders whenever available. Chickadees build homes in tree holes out of sticks and stones. They have 5-8 young per year and a lifespan of around 2 years, with an egg gestation period of 10-12 days. Chickadee eggs are white and they can have multiple families while flocking with other birds.
