The Sharks had a successful 2007 Super Rugby season, defeating local rivals the Bulls and Stormers as well as overseas teams the Waratahs, Highlanders, Crusaders, Hurricanes, Reds, and Blues. Their only home loss was to the Brumbies, while they also lost away matches against the Force and Chiefs. They finished the season by defeating the Blues in the semi-final to qualify for the 2007 Super Rugby final.
The document summarizes some of the challenges faced by homesteaders living on the Great Plains in the late 19th century, including building houses from sod, maintaining health with limited resources, enduring extreme weather, a lack of fuel and water, isolation, and potential conflicts with Native Americans. Homesteaders worked to overcome these difficulties through communal support and by adapting practices from the indigenous peoples.
William Widjaja conducted an inspection of the restaurant and identified several problems including cleanliness issues, slow service, food stock outs, and data entry errors. He recommended solutions such as implementing cleaning schedules, hiring additional staff during peak times, estimating food needs better, and improving communication between staff. He also suggested adding appetizers and desserts to the menu and separating the smoking and non-smoking sections by the end of November 2007.

The document discusses providing remote sensing assistance to the UN for assessing drought conditions in North Korea. It outlines WLK Solutions' capabilities to use satellite imagery and GIS mapping to evaluate crop growth, water resources, and food needs to help coordinate UN relief efforts. The solution would classify crop health, drought severity, and forecast food production over 4-5 weeks at a reasonable legal and financial cost while ensuring data privacy and access.
The document discusses short and long-term solutions for storage systems on the lunar surface to support future exploration. In the short-term, a modified version of the Lunar Surface Access Module (LSAM) is proposed, with six legs for improved mobility. Long-term solutions beyond 2040 will be based on expanding this design. Various storage tank options are evaluated for housing rocket fuels and life support systems, considering factors like material options, thermal management, location on the surface or below ground, and health monitoring systems.
The document discusses considerations for liquid hydrogen and oxygen storage systems on the lunar surface. It notes challenges like hydrogen leaks and flammability, long term storage issues, dust contamination, and pressure-related ruptures or explosions. It also mentions options for surface or subsurface locations, the need for standardized yet adaptable interfaces, and health monitoring systems to detect leaks.
The document discusses different types of sensors used to measure liquid storage. It describes 4 sensors: 1) pressure sensors that measure the pressure of gases or fluids, 2) strain sensors that measure minute dimensional changes when a solid material is put under compression or tension, 3) optical sensors that use light wavelengths to measure fuel and oxidizer quantities in low or zero gravity, and 4) compression mass gauges that use a small bellows to change tank volume and measure resulting pressure changes to compute fluid volume. The document also mentions criteria for selecting sensors such as accuracy, complexity, energy requirements, and technology readiness.
The challenges of storing cryogenic storage tanks are monitoring, maintaining, and storing cryogenic liquids like liquid oxygen at extremely cold temperatures. A typical storage system consists of an inner storage tank surrounded by an outer tank with insulating material between them to keep heat away from the stored liquid. Maintaining cryogenic tanks requires controlling gas pressure and converting liquid oxygen to a gas. Storing water in space also presents challenges around the materials used and logistics of transporting and maintaining large water tanks in space.

Introduction of Cybersecurity with OSS at Code Europe 2024Hiroshi SHIBATA
I develop the Ruby programming language, RubyGems, and Bundler, which are package managers for Ruby. Today, I will introduce how to enhance the security of your application using open-source software (OSS) examples from Ruby and RubyGems.
The first topic is CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures). I have published CVEs many times. But what exactly is a CVE? I'll provide a basic understanding of CVEs and explain how to detect and handle vulnerabilities in OSS.
Next, let's discuss package managers. Package managers play a critical role in the OSS ecosystem. I'll explain how to manage library dependencies in your application.
I'll share insights into how the Ruby and RubyGems core team works to keep our ecosystem safe. By the end of this talk, you'll have a better understanding of how to safeguard your code.

zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.
