2. The Lone Hero
The Immortal Einarr is tasked to end the war on the planet Aberforth
3. Aberforth
is the home of dragons.
So, Einarr will have to work with the
Grandus Leader of the Dragons, Zavat.
4. What makes the novel
‘The Lone Hero’ different
from other dragon
fantasies?
When readers travels to
Aberforth, they’ll meet with
different types of dragons, all
with their own personalities.
They’ll experience life on the
dragon world and watch as
Einarr fights battle after
battle, falls in love with an
Elven princess, and learns to
live with dragons.
5. The Prophecy
• Plus, Zavat believes that an ancient prophecy is to be fulfilled that includes him
and a human. He uses alchemy to bind the mortal baby Einarr to him, but Einarr
doesn’t accept his dragon immediately – not until tragedy strikes.
• In a flash, Einarr understood death from the dragons’ point of view and worse, he
envisioned a deceased Zavat and him clinging tightly, mourning, and experiencing
the horrendous discomfort that he watched Atomo undergo. His vision clouded,
he blinked away tears, and his hands shook. His heart pounded against his chest
and his skin color drained. He advanced unsteadily towards Zavat as if being
pulled to him by a magnet. His eyes flashed from black to citrine repeatedly. His
lips trembled, the significance of the moment sinking into the core of his being
with a horrendous aching. All the emotions he had stifled had surfaced.
• Zavat perked up, watching Einarr cautiously; unsure what to do since Einarr’s
thoughts were jumbled. Silence reigned, all attention on both of them. Szah
concentrated on Einarr’s every step, concerned that Einarr would attack Zavat,
but Zavat only exhibited confusion about Einarr’s behavior, not fear.
6. Still, in the beginning, Einarr was willing
to kill Zavat.
• “Einarr.”
• Einarr stopped nursing his wounds,
stood up and looked around.
• “Einarr, I approach.”
• “Who speaks to me?” He heard a
whooshing from overhead and looked to
the sky. Something large was
approaching from the west. He focused
his attention in that direction and drew
his sword. “You wish to challenge me?
Why not? What’s one more? Show
yourself.”
• A black dragon of enormous size came into
view. Einarr strode into a clearing and
prepared to defend himself. Once it landed,
without a moment’s
• hesitation, Einarr attacked and the dragon
calmly flicked him aside. Einarr got up and
hurtled towards it. It seized Einarr’s sword
and crumpled it in its clawed paw but didn’t
retaliate.
• Einarr drew his knife. “I don’t ever surrender.
I’ve finished off many of your kind with just
this weapon.”
• “With that piddly rock? Try if you must.” The
dragon acted disinterested and stretched out
a forepaw comfortably along the ground. It
watched Einarr’s every step and Einarr
noticed its slanted citrine eyes.
7. The Lone Hero
