The Immigrant Podcast (formerly The Alien Chronicles) is a minority women-owned & run a weekly podcast that features immigrants from all different walks of life to share their immigrant experiences. Immigrant deconstructs the archaic stereotypes of what it means to be an immigrant, a child of immigrants, a person of color, and everything in between. Each episode brings a fresh perspective on the issues we address. Our conversations are complex, challenging, and oftentimes messy. But I wouldn’t trade the messiness for anything, because what we have created instead is a new, ongoing dialogue full of rich nuances.

About Us:

3. Saadia Khan, Host
Hi! I am Saadia Khan and I am an immigrant who
is fascinated by different cultures. I am also a
social entrepreneur who calls America home. In
the current climate of polarization and
divisiveness, I decided to launch a podcast that
focuses on celebrating representation and
inclusion in America. What qualifies me to do this
Podcast? An MBA, masters in Human Rights and
my own experiences as an immigrant and a
human rights activist exploring intersectionality
between different cultures, racial and ethnic
backgrounds.

4. I’m Cassandra and I run our Instagram and social
media campaigns, including our blog series. I
study history, with a concentration in rights,
politics, and culture. As a Latina, a born-and-
raised New Yorker, and the daughter of an
immigrant, I am passionate about celebrating
meaningful diversity in the U.S.

5. My name is Yudi. I’m from Boston but consider
myself a committed New Yorker, at least for the
time being. I graduated from Barnard College
with a bachelor’s in English. Like other ambitious,
untidy liberal arts majors, I chose a field unrelated
to my profession in health-tech consulting, hence,
my gravitation back to the humanities became
Immigrantly, where I act as Content Writer. At
Immigrantly, I do what I love with people who
share my vision: voice stories of immigrants and
write light into these important human
experiences.
