The Canterbury Tales is a collection of stories written in Middle English by Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th century. It tells of a group of pilgrims who travel together on a pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral and tell stories to each other along the way. The stories range from romance to fabliaux and include themes of religion, morality, and society.
