Linda lost her passion for her job two years ago and was discovering her "Why", which restored her passion and made her realize she had a right to feel fulfilled in her work. She didn't want to just suffer through jobs anymore. After struggling financially, she refused job offers unless it was her passion. Recalling influences from her past, she realized her passion was in the creative arts. She landed a job at a startup company in the creative field and finds fulfillment each day, feeling free to be herself. She is proud to have followed her passion, crossing a bridge others might find unrealistic, in hopes of inspiring others to live a life they can be proud of.

Twoyearsago Ifound myself ina place I’d never been before.Ilostmypassion for whatIwasdoing.
Wakingup wasa chore and going to work required all theenergyI had.Itwasthediscoveryof this thing
called the‘Why’thatrestored mypassion.Itproved tomethatIhad theright to feel fulfilled bymywork
and thatI didn’thaveto suffer through a job I had.Itwasso powerful thatI decided I wasgoingto devote
all myenergyfrom thatpointonto provingto othersthatfulfillmentisa rightweall share and Iwasgoing
to do mypartto show people a waythatwecould all comehomeattheend of the dayand say,witha
smile,“Ilovemyjob.
“But then Ineeded moneytodothis and thatand had noother sourceof incomeatthe timeso I continued
to suffer until the timecame when Ihad tolook foranother job. ThistimeI found myself notwillingtodo it
.NO! Ijust don’twanta JOB! I wantmorein a JOB than just the JOB itself!
Weall havemomentsthatchange us.Weall havetimeswhere fear anduncertaintystareusin theface.
It’s whatwedoatthose momentsthatdefinesus.Iwasscared!
At 21I didn’tseem toknow whatIwanted todo, but I wassocertain of whatIdidn’twantto.I made a firm
decision.A decision no onewasgoing to change nomatter how ridiculousit appearedtobe.No job forme
till I know whatIwant!!Ithought hard and heyIremembered thisteacher in highSchool whothought I
wasreallygreatin arts.Then camethistutor in collegewho advised metotryartssomeday.And did Itell
you about my friendswhoalwayslovedthecardsIwould makethem whenever wewerebreakingfor
holidays?“Inspirationiswhen yourpastsuddenlymakessense.“MINEJUST DID!Halfof gettingwhere you
wantto go is KNOWINGWHAT IT TAKESTOGET THERE.
I wasreadytosaynoto all job offersand walk towardsthispassion nomatter whatittook.For yearsI’ve
been probing,pushing,checking,trying, exploring,stumbling,feelingand tryingtoget closer to whatI
stand for,whatIwanttodo and whoIwantto be. Now I know.
It wasa prayer answeredwhenI landedmycreative assistantjobatHobby World.It’sbeen a fantastic
journey,I go home everyeveninglookingforward toa moreawesome daytomorrow.ManythoughtIwas
insanetotakea job ata start-up company….buthey!Ihavemypeace.EverydayatHobbyWorld isa
learningexperience for me.I feel free.Ican bemyself and Igetmyfulfillmenteachday.Thisisthepath.
