Saul was a Jew who persecuted Christians until he had a vision of Jesus and converted to Christianity, changing his name to Paul. Paul then dedicated his life to spreading the message of Jesus, traveling to teach about God and write letters to communities from prison. Though initially against Christianity, Paul became one of its most important early teachers and evangelists before being executed for his faith.
