RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas 2015
Chemical Engineering Student: Served as a team member working on the following projects:
• Lab Research Assistant: Supported Dr. Wujcik of the Chemical Engineering Department on a Research Project on the Ion
Sensor for the Quantification of Sodium in Sweat Samples.
Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas 2014-2015
Chemical Engineering Student: Served as a team member working on the following projects:
• Project Design I&II Projects: Simulated overall plant design (kinetics, recycle, distillation, optimization, HAZOP).
Conducted economic analysis and investment viability. Reviewed topological vs parametric optimization. Ensured safety,
health, and environmental considerations. Presented project to team of Chemical Engineering Faculty members conducting a
PowerPoint presenting outlining project on Plant Design.
• Fluidized Particle Bed Project: Reviewed changes in resistance in flow to pressure drop. Conducted theoretical
calculation vs experimental data. Computed correlations between the fluid, the particles and the wall tube. Determined the
void fraction and pressure drop with entering and exiting velocity. Prepared technical essay to Chemical Engineering Team.
• Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger Project: Prepared a technical essay; computed the overall heat transfe r coefficient,
correlations between the pressure drop versus numbe r of baffles inside.
