Strength and weakness of text analysis
My text analysis essay was based on Amy Goldwasser’s article “What’s the Matter with Kids
Today?” argues that the internet has a positive effect on today’s youth in respond to the older
generation’s blame that the internet is responsible for the decline in kids actually reading
literature. I had to argue how I agree with the author Amy Goldwasser about how the internet
has a positive influence on today’s youth life.
My weakness in the text essay was formatted correctly and properly framed in-text
citations. I did fair with transitions and avoid using second-person in the essay. It was hard not
to use second-person in the essay. My spelling and my grammar did a little bit better than in
the ad analysis essay.
My strength in the essay was the well-developed thesis statement and the clear text’s
argument.I had excellent appropriate reasons for agreeing/disagree in through the essay. My
entire paragraph matches up with the outline and connected to the thesis sentence. The logical
response to the text’s claim was perfect and understanding.
