Hi Kay,
I am happy to provide a testimonial for your braces.
As Manager of the Adult Acute Care Occupational Therapy
department and a practicing OT at UVa Health System, I believe
that the braces that Kay Neseem is making at KayKare are an
excellent option for a number of our patients who the traditional
upper extremity brace or sling just does not work for. Specifically
for patients who are s/p Pectoralis Flap with strict post-op
precautions to avoid any pressure on or near the graft site, the
KayKare braces are an ideal choice to safely immobilize the
affected upper extremity.
The abdominal straps on the braces are easy to don/doffand they
comfortably support upper extremities for patients who have
sustained clavicle fractures and cannot tolerate a strap pulling
across their anterior shoulder/chest region as well as for the
deconditioned patient who may not be able to tolerate a strap
pulling on the back of their neck. All in all, the KayKare upper
extremity braces are a well-made and well-designed product at a
competitive price.
