3. GOOGLE CHAUFFEUR
• Google Chauffeur is a program
being developed by Google that
will allow cars to drive
themselves.

antennae called the LIDAR (Light
Detection and Range) to “see”.
The car’s computer can process
down to the centimeter.
• Chauffeur has already logged
over 50 thousand miles of
accident-free driving.

4. Cloud Computing
• Cloud Computing has already made its
way into the mainstream through
companies like Microsoft with OneDrive
(formerly known as SkyDrive) and
Google with Google Drive.
• Cloud Computing allows people to
store their files online. This allows
people to access their files remotely.
• With Google Drive, the person simply
signs into their Google Drive account on
another computer or mobile device and
they will have access to everything they
have uploaded.
Cloud computing allows access to files stored
in the cloud from any device connected to the
internet.
5. The Internet of Things
• The Internet of Things is an idea
being developed by many
companies.
• The Internet of Things will connect
everything from shoes to
pacemakers to a network of
computers that will allow these
things to interact with one another.
• The opportunities presented by The
Internet of Things are boundless. It
could save lives, decrease pollution,
and improve everyday life.
