Tea Party Opening
The First of Many Steampunk Exhibits
Bethlehem, PA - Following suit with our Steampunk exhibit and Local Artist Spotlight, Domenick
Naccarato, Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites is proud to present Steampunk: Tea Party
Opening. Combining history and imagination for a dazzling collision, this program is one of our
many facets of Steampunk.
At the Tea Party Opening, visitors take a journey through a looking glass to celebrate our new
Steampunk exhibit. This exciting experience will be on May 9, 2015. The official opening to
Steampunk, this event features crazy hats, tea dueling, and showcases our Kemerer Museum
and sculpture garden. Wear a crazy hat, fight to be the victor of a tea duel, or relax and explore
our museum. This event brings life to history by blending adventure and imagination.
Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction based around the industrialized and aesthetic
civilization of the 19th century - though it is not limited to that time period. Today, Steampunk is
making waves as a new retail trend for this century. On top of the rising trend, our exciting new
exhibit will present many artifacts from the HBMS collections.
Admission to this exciting experience is free for members, and $12 for the general public.
