LONG DAY
1. Summarize the story between 5-8 sentences.
Matt Simons is an advertising executive. His girlfriend’s name is Rebecca. They
came to New York from Chicago for Matt´s work. But one night everything
change. Matt Though he found in a Chinese restaurant the love of his life, his
ex-girlfriend Lisa who brooked his heart two years ago, so he tried to find her
and look for her for two days in a row. They were separated by Denise, a Lisa´s
friend who was in loved with Mat and by jealousy she lied booth and separated
them. However, the destiny was stronger and Denis confessed his mistake and
admitted his deception, that way Matt was reunited with Lisa and they ended up
together and in loved after two years of being separated.
2. Pretend you are the writer of “Cruel intentions”. Change one part of
the story and explain why.
After Matt discover the whole truth about Denise an her lie, he decided to
continue whit his life as always, he travel to China an make a good deal with his
business partners. After all, he thinks that´s the best thing to do because he´s in
loved with Rebecca now, she´s his love and his joy. Lisa´s story was painful and
it´s better let it in the past. Also, that entire cruel story maybe was a signal that
Rebecca is the real love of his life.
3. Imagine you are Matt. You can decide if you want to forgive Denise
or not. Explain why or why not.
If I was Matt, I think that the forgiveness will be a difficult choice, but eventually
all that evil, all the pain and all the confusion that she causes will be left in the
past. I believe that the love, the happiness and the joy are more important than
anger, and seeing the good life that Rebecca could give me, I think I could
forgive all the evil she did to me.
