Implemented features
● Developed and deployed the web app Sup?NYC Host where users
can register new events.
● Developed the Sup?NYC Android app that fetches events according
to the requested event category.
● Added a “Swipe left to dislike, swipe right to like” feature, to be used
for experience customization and user feedback.
● Implemented an event localization feature using the Google Maps
API.
● Created a 'Recommended' event feed based on user likes.
Future work
● Implement a “Going” feature for users to mark what events they plan
to attend.
● Personalize the event feeds using descriptive meta data.
● Create date and distance filters for event feeds
● Implement event notification for favored hosts.
● Implement a login for the Sup?NYC app.
● Integrate Facebook information for user based event
recommendations.
