The Cortland Women's Rugby Football Club was formed in 1993 and nicknamed the Peace Frogs after the Doors song. They are part of the New York State Rugby Conference and competed in Division I for the first time in 2011. In the fall 2010 season, they had an undefeated regular season as a Division II team. Playing rugby provides a team like family, daily stress relief, great exercise, and pride in bruises. To join, members need to purchase CIPP rugby insurance, pay annual dues of $40 for two semesters, and fill out a policy form through New York State Rugby. The club also does fundraising.
