Trade began on the Silk Road and allowed people to exchange goods and experience new cultures, though it could also lead to conflict or violence between traders. Transportation developed over time through inventions like cars, buses, trains, boats and planes in order to move people and goods across greater distances. The debate helped the author learn more about how globalization has connected topics like trade, transportation, and communication through technology which has impacted the world by allowing widespread interaction through phones, computers, and the internet.

1. Summative Assessment: Debate: Reflection
I understand about the unit a lot more now. What I learned: I learned that almost
everything connects to globalization. And the main topics( Trade, Transportation, Sports,
Internet, Talking and Over seas letters and trade) I learned about the most. So Trade:
Trade started on the silk road and people used to go on the road to meet others and trade
anything to try new things out. The fabulous things about trading are: People get to try new
cultures things and have fun, if someone has too much of something he/she can trade it
for something new. The destructive things are: Trade when a man or women comes on the
silk road they can carry a weapon and kill the other trader and steal everything, if they
don’t like what is being traded they can get in to a conflict and start a war with countries.
Transportation: Transportation is basically a vehicle that takes people or things from one
place to another. Example: Cars, buses, trains, boats and planes. Globalization has
changed over time by people creating new things and trading it. Now we have so much
tech we don't need the silk road anymore only tech. How the debate helped me learn
more: The debate helped me a lot. I learned about trade, transportation and other
important parts of Global Interaction. I learned most about cyber bullying because I was
debating on cyber bullying and we had to do lots and lots of research. Some impacts trade
and technology has down to the world are: tech includes: phone, computer etc. Phone has
made people be able to talk worldwide. Computers helped people communicate will email
and Facebook etc and Computers are is handheld.
