Limiting beliefs come from external sources like friends and family as well as our own interpretations, and have negative consequences by restricting our options and abilities. These beliefs can be eliminated by examining where they come from, asking key questions, and being selective about what we believe unless supported by experience or expertise. Installing new empowering beliefs requires evidence to support them and will lead to new behaviors and results. Measuring our progress is important to ensure new beliefs are in place and empowering, and we must continually check for new limiting beliefs as they will occur over time.
