The main objective of myprojectistoinvestigate the use of waste fibermaterialsin geotechnical
applicationsandtoevaluate the effectsof waste polypropylenefibersonshearstrengthof soils.The
stabilizationusingplasticwaste stripsisaneconomicmethodsince the stabilizerusedhere iswaste
plasticmaterials,whichare easilyandcheaplyavailable. Itis the interaction between the soil and
the strips which causes the resistance and thus stabilisingthe soil.
