During this two week residential program held classes such as ACT Preparation, College 
Transition, Social Justice, Writing, and Healthy Lifestyle. These classes included various 
assignments, presentations and team building activities. I learned accountability for 
myself and my team as well as the importance of cooperation between peers. I also 
improved my public speaking technique.  
 
Telluride Association Sophomore Seminar 
Cornell University 
June 2015 - August 2015 
Seventeen other TASSers and I lived in the Telluride House under the supervision of two 
factotum. The seminar was called Ascending Melody: Contemporary African American 
Creative Arts and Critical Thought and was led by 2 Cornell University professors. The 
seminar was focused poetry, fiction, memoir and visual art in the contemporary 
African-American society. We practiced self-governance, public speaking, community 
building and critical writing.

June 2016 - August 2016 
Twenty-seven other TASPers and I lived in the Phi Sigma Sigma House under the 
supervision of two factotum. The seminar was Literatures of the Security State: Privacy, 
Surveillance, and Modern Culture. The seminar was focused on surveillance, privacy, and 
personal rights in contemporary society. We practiced self-governance, public speaking, 
community building and critical writing.
