This document discusses strokes, including their definition, types, causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. A stroke occurs when a part of the brain loses its blood supply, causing brain cells to die. There are two main types - ischemic, due to blockage or narrowing of blood vessels, and hemorrhagic, due to bleeding in the brain. Symptoms vary depending on the affected area of the brain but can include numbness, confusion, trouble speaking, and severe headaches. Treatment depends on the type of stroke, but the goals are to restore blood flow and prevent further damage, often through medications, surgery, or lifestyle changes like controlling risk factors.

3. Definition
A stroke also know as a cerebrovascular accident or CVA
is when the past of the brain loses it blood supply and the
past of the body that the blood deprived brain cell control
stops working. This loss of the blood supply can be
ischemic because of the lack of the blood flow or
hemorrhagic because of bleeding into brain tissue and miss
oxygen and nutrient.
Brain cells begin to die in minutes , A stroke is a medical
emergency and prompt treatment is crucial, early action
can reduce brain damage and other complication.
4. Type of stroke
hemorrhage stroke
ischemic stroke
transient ischemic attack
5. Pathogenesis of stroke
hemorrhage : hemorrhage stroke occurs when the blood
vessel in your brain leaks or ruptures. Brain hemorrhage
can result from many condition that affect blood vessels.
6. Pathogenesis of stroke
ischemic : this is the most common type of stroke . It
happens when the brains blood vessel become narrow or
blocked caused by fatty deposits that build up in the blood
vessel or by blood colt , that travel through your
bloodstream and lodge in the blood vessels in your brain.
transient ischemic attack ( TIA ). Some time know as a mini
stroke.
9. Posterior circulation
VA ( vertebral A )
BA ( basilar A )
PCA ( posterior cerebral A )
SCA ( superior cerebral A )
PICA ( posterior inferior
cerebral A )
AICA ( anterior inferior cerebral
A )
