Gem is a three-legged dog who is made fun of for his disability but proves his doubters wrong by winning a race. The plot involves Gem convincing his mean coach to let him race against faster dogs who also bully him. Though expected to lose, Gem's extra leg allows him to navigate the curves of the track better and win the race, showing that appearances can be deceiving. The story takes place at a track meet from the perspective of a 6-8 year old audience and will use images, thought bubbles, and dialogues edited together in Pages.

What is the basic Gem, a three legged dog, is at a track meet with a bunch of other dogs, all
plot of your of whom have four legs. He gets made of fun for only having three legs,
fable? and he is told that he has no chance of winning. Even his coach doesn’t
want to put him in a race, but when Gem finally convinces his coach, the
coach decides to put him with the fastest dogs; the Greyhounds. They are
all so mean to him, but they don’t realize that because Gem has three legs,
he can get around the curves of the track much easier and he wins the race.
Appearances can be deceiving.
