Joining the armed forces allows one to see the world, but at significant personal costs, as service members fight to defend their country but face challenges with making it back home and dealing with the mental and physical tolls of war, such as alcohol and drug addictions, post-traumatic stress, and other issues upon returning. While they claim to know how the public should feel, their true inner experiences remain unknown, and there must be a better solution than sending more young people to risk their lives and health.
