Steve Bruere is the president of Peoples Company, a leading Iowa-based land brokerage
with a diversified offering of land management, land appraisal and land investing services
in 14 Midwest states. Steve has steered a more than 30-year-old real estate company
into one of the Midwest’s fastest-growing land brokerage and land management firms.
He currently stays active with speaking engagements across the country and serves on
many industry boards, including the Strategic Advisory Board for the Iowa Secretary of
Agriculture, the UNI Real Estate Program Advisory Council, and chairing Iowa’s Soil and
Water Future Task Force. He is the past president of the Iowa Chapter of the REALTORS®
Land Institute, which also named him Farm and Land Broker of the Year in 2013. In 2008,
Steve spearheaded the launch of Peoples Company’s annual Land Investment Expo – a
premier conference bringing together major players in the land business and featuring
high-profile speakers such as Jim Rogers, T. Boone Pickens and Donald Trump. His latest
project, the Iowa Ag Tech Accelerator, identifies and invests in startups and technologies
that will improve yields, sustain our environment and feed the world.
