To apply for passport services, one must visit the Passport Seva Portal and register as a new user by creating an ID. After logging in, the applicant selects the required service and can either download an e-form to fill out offline and upload later, or fill out the application form online. The applicant then schedules an appointment at the nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) by selecting from available dates and making a payment if required. On the appointment date, the applicant visits the PSK with the application receipt and required documents.

3. Register yourself as new user, create User Id.

4. Provide User Id details and click Register.
In case you provide e-mail Id, confirm registration by clicking the URL sent to your e-mail Id.

5. Login to the portal.

6. Enter User Id, password and displayed Captcha characters and click Login.

7. Select required service (e.g. Apply for Fresh Passport / Reissue of Passport).

8. You can apply for passport/reissue passport
through two methods:
• Alternate 1: Downloading e-Form and uploading later
• Alternate 2: Filling application form online

9. Alternate 1: Download the e-Form, which can be filled offline and uploaded later.

10. Alternate 1 (contd.): Download e-Form for required service.

11. Alternate 1 (contd.): Fill the e-Form.

12. Alternate 1 (contd.): Upload the filled e-Form.

13. Alternate 2: Click the highlighted link to fill the application form online.

14. Alternate 2: Fill the application form online and submit.

15. View saved/submitted application.

Scheme 1: PSKs for which Online Payment is not mandatory for
booking appointments.

17. Scheme 1: Schedule an appointment for visiting the PSK.

18. Scheme 1 (contd.): Click Next

19. Scheme 1 (contd.): Select PSK

20. Scheme 2 (contd.): Earliest available Appointment Date will be displayed on screen. Click
Book Appointment to proceed for appointment booking.

21. Scheme 1 (contd.): Appointment confirmed for visiting the PSK.

22. Scheme 1 (contd.): Print Application Receipt.

23. Scheme 1 (contd.): Check the date and time of your appointment on application receipt.

24. Visit PSK with application receipt and required supporting documents (Original & Photocopy).
In case of No Show on the appointment day, no reschedule of appointment is allowed and a
fresh application needs to be submitted again.

appointments.

26. Scheme 2: Schedule an appointment for visiting the PSK.

28. Scheme 2 (contd.): Select PSK

29. Scheme 2 (contd.): Earliest available Appointment Date will be displayed on screen. Click
Pay and Book Appointment to proceed for appointment booking.

30. Scheme 2 (contd.): Click Payment Mode of your convenience and pay indicated
application fee amount.

31. Scheme 2 (contd.): Appointment confirmed for visiting the PSK.

32. Scheme 2 (contd.): Print Application Receipt.

33. Scheme 2 (contd.): Check the date and time of your appointment on application receipt.

You may reschedule the appointment up to two times, that too within one year of payment.
