salesmixandhigheraveragerevenuepervehicleduringtheyear.

9.  ByapplyingDescriptive statistics, wewereable tocomputeandinterpret measures of centreandspread of datafor
10years of TATAMOTORS. Thepurpose of descriptive statisticsisdescribingandanalysing thenumeric datafromthe
survey made.
 Thearithmetic meantakes intoaccountthevalues of eachcaseinthedistribution. Itcanpromote theaccuracy or
distortion dependingonwhetherthedistribution issymmetrical orskewed. Insome of ourfindingswecanseethat
either themeanisgreater orsmaller thanthemedian,whenthemeanis greater thanthemedianthedata
distribution isskewed totherightandwhenthemeanis less thanthemedian thedatadistribution isskewed tothe
left.
 Also,themeasures of dispersion inform usabout theheterogeneity orhomogeneity of thevalues taken. The
objectives of themeasures of dispersion is tocompare variability, totestthereliability of average, anduse other
statisticalmethods.Therefore, wehavetaken thehelpof descriptivestatisticstoextract theinference from our
datataken.
