Metallic salts and a slightly acid solution react with minerals in concrete to create a unique stained surface that becomes part of the concrete rather than a coating. Unlike concrete paint, acid stains will not chip, flake, or peel as they are permanently bonded to the concrete and will only wear as the concrete wears over time.
