How do I get the paint colour I’m after?
T here are some basic things to know when matching colours – especially to a corporate logo. Usually a PMS (Pantone
Matching System) colour is provided. However, PMS is a colour matching system designed for publishing and it doesn’t always
work when it comes to painting.
Due to issues associated with coverage and touch ups even when paint specialists match the paint colour to a PMS, they have
varying degrees of success. The custom mixed paints can take up to 8 – 10 coats to achieve the desired colour.
We have found that the best way to achieve the matching is to choose a colour directly from a major manufacturer’s card. Large
companies such as Dulux or Haymes have huge ranges and the colours are mixed in a way to achieve good coverage. These
paints are available everywhere - so if you need to get some touch up paint in another state or country – you will have a much
better chance of a true colour match and availability.

VEGAS: the Austrian
The stunning silver satin Austrian drape is a collection
of soft scallops which appear to cascade down.
The Vegas responds fantastically to lighting allowing it
to be transformed into different colours. The Vegas has
fullness added both horizontally and vertically. This
is achieved by gathering the material on the vertical
seams.
The drop has 100% fullness and the width 50% fullness.
The drapes can also be used as an Austrian Reveal, which
lifts the drape up evenly from bottom to top. This can be
achieved by adding rings to the ruffle tape seams and
using rope and pulleys to lift it.
When hanging two Vegas drapes side by side, they are
tied without an overlap. They are then joined on the side
seams with drape or bulldog clips.
The eyelets and ties of the Vegas are at 250mm centres.
This is because an eyelet is needed at the top of every
seam to make it hang properly, and then another eyelet
is put in the middle of each of the panels.
When the drape is hung on its own there is a slight
curve in the sides of the drape. A leg can be added to
achieve a straight sided edge.
