A church in Nottinghamshire was flooding due to a collapsed wall that acted as a barrier for a nearby tributary. This allowed water to enter the church grounds and threaten 25 nearby properties. When the vicar called for help, the document author and a colleague were able to stop the flooding in just 5 minutes by using a new flood barrier product called Water-Gate. They were able to easily unroll and install the barrier, sealing the flow of 150mm of water running through the churchyard onto the road. Both the vicar and skeptical colleague were impressed by how quickly and effectively the Water-Gate solved the emergency flooding situation.
