This document discusses AAFOB Technology, a company that produces marine natural products from microbes through controlled bioprocesses. AAFOB's main product helps meet the growing demand for aquaculture by controlling pathogens in a safe and sustainable way without using antibiotics. It does this by inhibiting quorum sensing, the chemical communication between bacteria that controls virulence. AAFOB has an advantage over competitors' methods as it is specific, prevents resistance, has lower production and implementation costs, and ensures food safety. The technology has been validated, patented, and licensed, with investors now sought to implement industrial production and global distribution.
Wisconsin is the only Great Lakes state with statewide numeric water quality standards for phosphorus. In the Fox-Wolf basin, where phosphorus pollution is a major issue, there are projects underway to meet those standards through the innovative strategies of water quality trading and Wisconsin’s “adaptive management option” This workshop will illustrate each strategy through case studies and a discussion of their similarities and differences. This presentation was given by Victoria Pebbles, Program Director, Great Lakes Commission.

2) The festival has grown significantly over the years since starting in 1985 and now attracts millions of tourists. Teams are given blocks of snow and ice to carve elaborate sculptures that cover kilometers of the festival area.
3) Visitors can walk through the ice sculpture park which features replicas of buildings from around the world lit up with neon lights at night, as well as activities like climbing ice walls and sliding on an ice skating rink made of ice.
