Sri Madhvacharya was an influential Indian philosopher who lived from 1238-1317 CE and was the chief proponent of Tattvavāda philosophy. He taught that Vishnu (Hari) is supreme and that he was the third incarnation of Vayu, the Hindu god of wind, with the first two incarnations being Hanuman and Bhima. Madhvacharya established the Dvaita school of Vedanta philosophy which propounds strict dualism.
