SPORTS FROM TWO HOUSEHOLD ITEMS (I interpreted this as two types of household items, although
I described a sport that involved exactly two household items.)

Hanger Fencing (ITEMS: Two hangers)

This is just like ordinary fencing, except that instead of swords, players will use hangers.

Here are the standard rules: A player gains points though clean hits to the opponent. My preferred
scoring system would be: 2 points for an undefended clean hit and 1 point for a clean hit which the
opponent attempted to defend unsuccessfully.

A referee will be there to decide how many points to give for every clean hit. (More than one referee
can also be there to score the players more fairly.)After a specified time limit, preferably 10 minutes, the
player who gets the most points, or whom the judges favor the most if there are many judges, wins a
match.

Here are examples of usable hangers:

Hangers Without Hooks

Hangers With“Hooks”
Because some hangers have hooks, a variation of hanger fencing is possible. Players can use the hooks
(or even the handle) to pull off the hanger from the opponent’s hands, thus disarming him or her. In this
variant, the rules are just like that in ordinary hanger fencing, but once a player disarms an opponent,
the offensive player gets 10 points and the match ends immediately.(In this variant, although hangers
with hooks are more likely to work well, those without hooks can also be used.)

Bottles Bowling (ITEMS: Ordinary ball and ten bottles)

A variant of ordinary bowling that uses breakable bottles in place of standard pins. Bottles must have
the same size and must be breakable upon impact or upon hitting the floor. If the substitution of bottles
seems too simplistic, then hollow blocks can be used in their place.

Box Shootout (ITEMS: Box and any ball [preferably rattan, as long as the ball is light and fits in the
box])

This sport involves a rattan ball and boxes. In this game, a team’s players attempt to shoot a rattan ball
inside their designated box to gain points. One player from each team will hold a box and is allowed to
move around a circular court. (Think of basketball in which a player carries a movable goal [box]).
Players can use cardboard boxes whose sizes the teams have agreed upon beforehand. This sport can be
played by more than one team.

There aren’t any formal rules for this yet, but this may be included: Any player of a certain team cannot
touch the box of an opposing team while the ball is in the air and above the head of the player holding
the box.

A variant of this game can have this rule: Any player who is currently holding the box can pass it to
another player. Another variant can involve changing the number of players for each team or restricting
the arena area where any box-holder can wander.

Rattan Ball (Soft enough for rough-and-tumble box shootout play.)
Proposed Initial Positions of Players (Team X and Team O)

Ways to Hold the Box

Vortexball (ITEMS: Ball and chalk or any other writing material to mark out zones)

The objective of this sport is for each player to shoot a rattan ball on the team’s “vortex” on the ground.
The “vortex” is like an enlarged golf hole, but funnel-shaped so that the ball can enter smoothly inside it.
Vortexball Playing Area (V stands for vortex)

Player’s Eye View of Vortex

Cross-Sectional View of Vortex
At any time any player can pass the ball to a teammate or steal the ball from the opposing team.

Now, each player has a designated zone (see sketch). These designated zones are ring-shaped. A player
inside a ring can’t leave that ring but can pass the ball to a teammate anywhere. (A player leaves a ring if
at least one of that player’s feet is stepping on the ground outside the ring.) There are two players on
the area outside the two big circles; they can’t enter any of the circles but they can pass the ball to a
teammate anywhere. The ball can’t stay inside any given ring for ten straight seconds. a player from that
team must shoot the ball within
