5. With only a 10 percent down payment on
your log home package price you will be able
to get the process started.
At this point you will have a project manager
assigned to you to serve as your expert
guide.
Once you have signed the contract for your
log home you will receive a complete set of
blueprints for review followed by final
construction plans.

This starts with securing financing when you
contact your mortgage lender for
preapproval.

sure that all design changes have been put
into place.
This will give you the ability to promptly
return the initial plans to Southland so that

9. The days before delivery will involve several steps to make
sure the building process goes smoothly. These steps
include:
◦ Obtaining accurate pricing from potential builders.
◦ Choosing a preferred builder at least one month before the arrival
date of your log home kit.
◦ Sending the construction cost estimate to your mortgage lender.
◦ Collect the necessary permits for your log home.
◦ Prepare and clear the site for the delivery of construction
materials.

10. ◦ Ensure the site is accessible for deliver at least a week
before arrival date.
◦ Provide the necessary documentation to ensure that your
loan is closed before delivery. Meet with your lender to
complete the process.
◦ Prepare your full payment of the final invoice several
