Join us for a rare 'behind the scenes' tour around this wonderfully atmospheric semi-derelict Victorian
factory which made coffin fittings. Find out about the manufacturing processes that were used to produce
the decorations for the coffins of Princess Diana, the Queen Mother and Winston Churchill, and handle
samples of original stock. Hear stories about the workers, life in Victorian times and 100 years of this
family-run business.

2. The building is located between Viet Moon restaurant and Mitchell & Butlers offices at the top of the hill.
It is a one-way street down Fleet Street from Summer Row.
Parking
There is some on-street parking
(max 2 hours in Fleet Street, 4 hours in Lionel Street), but this is limited.
There are two NCP car parks close by.
Walking from
New Street Station (8-12 mins)
Leave by the
Victoria Square exit (stairs only)
at ‘B’ end of the platforms.
Turn right and
after 10 meters you will see the
entrance to Piccadilly Arcade opposite you.
Summer Row
Walk through Piccadilly Arcade, then
carry straight on up Bennetts Hill, which then becomes Newhall Street.
Cross Great Charles Queensway (dual carriageway)
and keep going up Newhall Street.
The second road on the left is Fleet Street. We are up the top of the road.
Walking from Snow Hill Station (7-10 mins)
Leave the station and turn right and walk along Colmore Row to
the traffic lights 300m. Turn right into Newhall Street.
Cross Great Charles Queensway (dual carriageway)
and keep going up Newhall Street.
The second road on the left is Fleet Street. We are up the top of the road.
Health and Safety and Access Advice
Please be aware this dusty, semi-derelict factory has plenty of uneven surfaces and steep staircases. There are no toilet facilities. Wear
sturdy shoes and dress up warm. No lift access. Ground floor access into outdoor courtyard only.
