2. MY ORGANISATION
B-eat Organisation.
B-eat provides helplines, online support and a
network of UK-wide self-help groups to help
adults and young people in the UK beat their
eating disorders.
3. LINK TO SOCIAL COMMUNITY ACTION:
B-eat is a non profit organisation which means
they gain no money for themselves.
The organisation offers help for those
suffering, which doesn’t include selling of a
product. This means that it’s social action and not
corporate or promotional.
4. WHAT I PLAN TO PRODUCE:
- 2-4 minute short film.
- Segments of a fictional sufferer talking to
camera between scenes of fictional
reconstructions.
- The Young Ambassadors will talk about what
role they play in the organization.
- Intending to urge those who need help to come
to the organisation and get what they need to
recover from the disorder.
- 25th Anniversary.
5. TARGET AUDIENCE:
- Those suffering in silence
- Friends and family of someone they think may
have an eating disorder
- People looking for more information about the
organisation in general
- Young people would be the main
demographic, as it would focus on a young
person going through the stages
6. WHAT WILL BE FEATURED:
Scenes of the past, of her struggling with the
disorder. Grey colours to highlight the importance
of the issue.
7. WHAT WILL BE FEATURED:
Scenes of the girl finding B-eat and seeking help.
Brighter colours and saturation will be used.
8. ETHICAL ISSUES:
When speaking with the organization, they had
very clear Media Guidelines I have to conform to:
- Make sure not to include details of calorie intake
or anything that would spark someone.
- Not to do anything that would make people
uncomfortable.

• Uploaded to Youtube
• Shown on their website
• Will be working closely with the client to
understand what they want in the final product
• People who are impacted by the video can make
their views clear in the comment section.
